The Smithsonian 900X Microscope is a super safe microscope set! No glass or sharp instruments are used. It features a durable, die-cast microscope body. View objects 900 times larger than their actual size. Three interchangeable objective lenses with powers of 100x, 450x and 900x allow you to closely examine your subjects. There's even a four-color rotating color filter under the stage. A light source provides illumination of the object that you're viewing, and a mirror reflects light directly onto the slide. The Smithsonian even converts to a projecting microscope. When you're finished viewing, safely secure the included lens cover over the eyepiece.
